Problem solving

Students have to find a creative way to come up with a solution on a global issue. 

Collaboration

Students will have to work in groups and collaborate to find solutions to a real-life issue.

Communication

Students will have to use their communication skills to present their findings and ideas at the end of the project.

Critical thinking

Students will have to use their critical thinking skills to question what current organizations are already doing.

Creativity

Students will use their creativity to find either better solutions than existing ones or come up with new solutions. Creativity will be showcased both by engeenring and  art showcase. 

Information, media and technology skills

Students will have to use technology skills to create a machine to capture CO2. They will use information and media skills to research exiting solutions before assessing them. By presenting their project at the end to other grades at school, they will raise awareness on the topic.

Interdisciplinary themes

Cross-disciplinary themes

CO2 emissions is a global issue that will be covered.

Students will  be simultaneously looking at the history of what has been done, looking at the science behind it and coming up with biological, technical and artistic solutions. 

Synthesizing information

Given the amount of information available on the subject, students will have to use synthesizing information skills to finalize the project.
